Work Description:

The British library is the national library of the United Kingdom and the worlds largest library holding over 150m items in all languages and formats.

Sir Robert McAlpine employed the specialist services of ATE to carry out the fire protection entailing a labyrinth of firestopping requirements to vertical and horizontal expansion joints. Monokote Fire and Acoustic spray coatings were applied to structural concrete soffit and walls in order to obtain the highly specified sound reduction requirement which was needed in this one off project.
