ATE Fire was founded in 1993 by Andy Ellis and he and his team share the same passion today for providing and delivering quality fire protection installation’s through cost effective solution’s where fire certification is presented on all projects upon completion.

Ian Bovington
Ian joined the company in 1998 and has been an integral part of its growth and success ever since. After more than two decades of dedication to the business, he took over as Managing Director in 2024, leading the company with a focus on quality, integrity, and innovation within the fire protection industry. Outside of work, he enjoys spending his free time on the golf course.
Andy Carter
Andy joined the company in 1999 and has been a key part of its development and long-term stability. As Financial Director, he oversees all financial operations, ensuring the company remains strong, sustainable, and well-positioned for future growth. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing and taking camping trips with his family.
Des Soper
Des oversees all fire protection and intumescent projects from planning through to completion, ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards. With over 20 years’ experience in passive fire protection, he works closely with clients to deliver safe, efficient, and fully certified installations. Outside of work, Des is a motorsport enthusiast and enjoys following Formula 1 and attending car racing events with his family in his spare time.
Jude McCloskey
Jude joined the company in 2004. He oversees the delivery of intumescent coating projects in London. He ensures all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, while also conducting testing and inspections to maintain quality and compliance. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and working on building and creative projects.
Adam Taylor
Adam joined us in 2004 and plays a key role in managing fire protection projects from start to finish, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. He works closely with clients and site teams to maintain smooth operations and strong communication throughout each project. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time in the kitchen trying new recipes and is an avid cricket fan.
Grigore Bizga
Grigore joined us in 2022 as an onsite supervisor. He now oversees the company’s London projects, managing operations and supporting the team of installers to ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. With a strong focus on coordination and quality, he ensures projects run smoothly from start to finish. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and caring for his collection of bonsai trees.
Isabelle Bovington
Isabelle joined the company in 2023 as an Administrative Assistant and quickly progressed to the role of Assistant Contracts Manager. She plays a key role in supporting the successful delivery of fire protection projects, working closely with the contracts team to ensure all works are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Isabelle assists with project planning, coordination, and communication between site teams and clients. Outside of work, she enjoys socialising with friends and family.
Kelly Davis
Kelly provides dedicated support to the Managing Director, ensuring the smooth running of daily operations and effective communication across the business. She plays a key role in organising schedules, managing correspondence, and assisting with project coordination to keep everything running efficiently. She also loves nothing more than planning and organising social events.
Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, and she’s also a keen CrossFit enthusiast.
Sarah Potter
Sarah oversees both the company’s financial management and health and safety compliance, ensuring that all operations run efficiently, responsibly, and in line with industry standards. She plays a key role in maintaining the business’s financial stability while promoting a safe working environment across all projects. Outside of work, she enjoys going to the gym, attending concerts, spending time at music festivals and cheering on her local ice hockey team.
Josh Andrews
Josh joined the company in 2022 and is responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of projects, ensuring contracts are managed efficiently and profitably from start to finish. He works closely with clients and site teams to maintain strong relationships and deliver value on every job. Outside of work, he’s a passionate West Ham supporter and enjoys keeping fit through boxing.
Emily Bishop
Emily joined the company in 2024 and is responsible for preparing accurate estimates and quotations, supporting the delivery of projects from tender through to completion. She works closely with clients and the operations team to ensure all pricing reflects the highest standards of quality and compliance. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family and would never say no to a Starbucks.
Hannah Sowman
Hannah joined the company in 2025 and plays a key role in producing detailed and accurate cost estimates to support project delivery. She works closely with clients and project teams to ensure competitive pricing and smooth coordination from tender to completion. Outside of work, she is an avid athlete who enjoys training for and competing in triathlons.
George Moulton
George began his career with the company in 2025 as part of the operations team, where he developed a strong understanding of on-site processes and project delivery. Recently promoted to the commercial department, he is now training as an estimator, supporting the preparation of accurate tenders and project costings. Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf and attending Arsenal matches.
Jade
Jade is the newest addition to ATE Fire team, joining our operations department in late 2025. She is quickly developing her expertise in the operational side of the company and brings a positive, proactive attitude to the role.
Outside of work, Jade enjoys exploring new destinations and plays football for her local team.
